Ralph Nader is very picky when it comes to pens

Ralph Nader noticed that his favorite pen, the Paper Mate Flair Felt Tip Pens Medium Point (0.7 mm), has recently begun to dry out quicker than it used to. He bugged the folks at the Wirecutter to have them look into it (a Paper Mate rep told them they've made no changes to the pen that could effect writing performance). Wirecutter, being all about finding the best of...well, anything of use, decided to to entice Nader with a selection of pens from one of their recent reviews.

Nader was not amused.

I mean more in that he is alive, and that he is relevant. It feels like this is the first time I have heard him mentioned since he was running for office 20 years ago.

To his credit, felt tipped pens are basically trash. (>_<)

Personally, I can't stand applying pressure, so ballpoints are also out of the question. I have a couple Parker fountain pens which lay down ink with near zero effort. (^_^)

I went to get a refill for my favorite pen, and the guy at the shop solved one of the greatest debates in nerdom: You can put a Fischer Space Pen refill into a Monte Blanc body. It has the weight and balance of a Monte Blanc and can write at any angle.
