I have no idea why you posted this, but THANK YOU! I sometimes fight my headphone cord all day long.

There's probably a neat little niche product here for some ambitious maker type. Sell it to the home office/musician/audiobook/audio designer/etc. market. Or mass produce and go for the cubicle worker market if there still is one. (?)

I don't have the need to pull my headphone cord around the room like that guy. What I do need is headphones with a detachable cord so if I step on the cord or something it doesn't wreck the headphones which is something I have done numerous times. So...tada! These headphones. The cord will detach from the jack and if I manage to destroy the cord anyway it is replaceable.

You, ma'am, have excellent sonic taste. That's pro-grade stuff. When my Sennheisers' non-detachable cord went wonky, I opted for a similar system, but in a "surprisingly decent sounding, considering..." pair of "OneOdio" headphones made of 100% Chinesium. Not recommended for anyone with decent hearing, but I just need them to detect the presence of audio while I'm recording. Serious mixing/equalizing is done on my good monitor speakers.

In my (long) experience, headphones last a long time, but cords have limited lifespans. What will eventually defeat you is the springy metal band across the top.

I really like having a cord for my headphones by my phone stopped liking to have a headphone jack. Which was a little irritating. I have gone through more wireless earbuds than headphones. One fell off and into the lawn mower. Another just, stopped properly pairing. I have some Sony wireless earbuds now that have a wire between them, kind of a "good in between", but the battery indicator doesn't work at all and always says its either 100 or 70% then it just dies at low battery.

That is funny, but then you're OK with a dangly cord always being plugged into your phone? Otherwise, you do need to take out two cords each time you want to use your headphones.

I wouldn’t mind getting a phone with a crappy camera, but a bunch of gizmos included, like a screen protector, case, headphones, etc. I don’t want to film a movie or win photography contests, just basic stuff for everyday use.

I just went with a pair of cheap wireless headphones I saw at Target, in an unfortunate color (turquois - not a "guy" color but the next best pair was an extra $15 and my budget no long has room for "cool"). I don't know if my phone is wired for a USB headphone and didn't want yet one more cable/adaptor taking up space in my junk box, waiting for the day I (a) upgrade to a phone that can support it, (b) have the new phone headphone jack go bad, and (c) find the adaptor I set aside several years back. I used the money I saved to buy a week's worth of cut veggies in forbearance for my health and bowel movements.
