Both Voyagers were already past Pluto's distance before the second Kuiper Belt object was discovered in 1992. Pluto was the first. So we could hardly update the plaque. The plaque just tells you when it was made, based on what we knew in the 1970's. There are now several thousand known "distant objects" with orbits beyond Neptune's. Pluto's distinction is being the largest of them in diameter and second-largest by mass (Eris is first in mass and second in diameter). But it trails 8 moons in both characteristics.

I thought even with mesh, most furries still build their own avatars with customizing textures and mixing and matching mesh parts. Maybe not? I haven't hung out with furries in a long time. I hope they're still super creative.

You can of course still get a Tiny hamster, but that hides the legacy body with traditional prims.
