I think connecting a monitor to a computer still had to be invented back then.

Thanks.

It would have been fun if they showed the program. Let me guess.

10 PRINT "Hello World"
20 GOTO 10
Dartmouth says it was simply "2 + 2"

That was a classic. I think the first version I saw was updated for Apples/Commodores/Atari's.

One does simply print on a mainframe.
Laughs.

Yup, BASIC predates VDT's, Dartmouth used Teletype Model 33's.

This is, of course, supposed to say "One does not simply print on a mainframe" but I'm a butterbrain and maybe it's funnier that Khamon apparently can't type, read, or print.

Canadian astronauts no longer free to rob and kill with abandon in space or on the moon

Buried deep within the legislation implementing Canada’s 2022 federal budget is a Criminal Code amendment that would explicitly extend Canadian criminal jurisdiction to the cosmos.
Canada is now in the space police business it seems.

Time for more space news: NASA is sending artificial female bodies called to the moon to study radiation risks.

The mission called Artemis 1 features an uncrewed Orion capsule which will be send to moon's orbit and then back to earth in order to study possible radiation influences. The artificial bodies will be equipped with a newly developed anti radiation vest. NASA does this because it wants to finally send the first woman to moon, and woman most likely have a higher risk of developing cancer when being expost to the radiation levels in space.

They're sending three dummies to the Moon. God knows there's no shortage of them down here.

The question of who has jurisdiction over a crime committed in space has been all academic so far but with more people going to space - especially private companies now that aren't flying for a particular country - it's only a matter of time before something happens. Better to settle the details sooner rather than later I think.

Agreed but law enforcement requires presence. Is Canada prepared to maintain an armed brigade of Mounties in space? I don’t think so.

Would the horses wear space suits?

Would the helmets be large enough to accomodate the mountie hats? Or would the hat go on the outside? Or maybe the helmet is shapped like one?
