This guy MIGHT be all right. I wish we were able to see more of what he said, if anything, past his apology. A true Trumpist anti-vaxxer almost certainly wouldn't apologize and call themselves an idiot, but would immediately start in with rationalizations.
He does start by saying, "now if this sticks, I'm going to freak out." I'd like to see what came immediately before (and to know who he is, of course, because he's doing this for an audience). This guy MIGHT be all right. It's stupid, but IDK, maybe it's not that terrible. Her reasoning seems about as solid as any other reasoning I've seen from anybody who claims they can definitively prove whether we live in a simulation or not. It's not like Hawking or Kaku were able to come up with a proof. The ancient solophists weren't much help, either. So yeah... why not astrology? I mean, astrology could mean we don't live in a simulation as easily as it means we do, but it's still no dumber than any other theories. If astrology is real, I think it's proof that we're living in a simulation. I, personally, find astrology, and zodiacs to be extremely accurate, solely based off my own experience.
Or a simulation with deeply warped humour. That could, perhaps, be worse. Perhaps the Standard Model is an ad-hoc (and buggy) response to the realisation the test subjects were getting too clever.A humorless simulation programmer would mean that all the absurdities in this universe are actually bugs, rather than jokes, and the prospect of universe-scale bugs is horrifying to me.
