With encouragement from Khalida Popal, former captain and founder of the national women’s team, and now resident in Denmark, the team fled from Herat with close family and coaches, hoping to fly out of Kabul. Among those Popal rallied was an orthodox rabbi, Moshe Margaretten from the Tzedek association in New York. He in turn reached out to Kim Kardashian, the US reality television personality, who funded the flight to Britain.

I'd go with castration. And for any guy who thinks depicting the female members of his family in that way is funny, I wouldn't be joking.

I feel bad for this Brandon guy. It's not his fault NASCAR fans are aasholes. I don't think I would blame him for going all MAGA himself, just to get enough sponsors to keep racing. He could probably get my pillow to sponsor him. It sucks, but NASCAR drivers can't cover their cars with company logos, then get all sentimental about selling out. The whole sport is built on selling out.

I think going for that angle would definitely get him some sponsors, but....

I don't think it's the selling out part that's the problem. The teams need sponsor money from someone to pay the crews and build the cars, that's just business as usual. The real problem is the political identity that would have to come with just giving in and going for those particular sponsors. Putting a Skittles or Interstate Batteries or a Miller Lite logo on your car doesn't come with a political identity really; putting a MyPillow or OAN logo on your car does though. I'm sure some drivers might be perfectly fine with that, but it looks like Brandon Brown isn't one of them.

Brown also isn't a star driver and he knows it, so even aside from the sponsorship issue, it has to suck to know that 95% of the people "cheering" for you don't actually know who you are or care, and are just doing it because your name became a political troll meme.

The guidance is about Equal Treatment generally. I'm not sure it contains anything particularly new -- the chapter on trans people (which is about a great deal more than pronouns) pretty much reflects courtroom practice as I recall it, but it's useful to see it all formally laid out.
