I've been lucky. I have a primary care provider, an actual doctor who runs her own practice. She is great, though she rides on me for not getting enough exercise and eating too many potato chips. If I can't see her, I usually see one of her nurse-practitioners, who is also great. I almost lost them though when the new managers of my Tricare region suddenly decided they weren't in-network, and changed my PCP to some guy I'd never heard of who has an office 20 miles away in another county! After some quick research told me that my doctor was and is indeed in-network, I burned up the phone lines getting that shit fixed and getting my doctor back for me and my family!
Normally, Tricare is absolutely wonderful. But the new company managing my region don't seen to know their asses from a hole in the ground. Also, my office visit co-pays have nearly doubled this year, from $12 to $20, and the prescription I get delivered to me used to be free (except for one non-formulary prescription) now costs me around $75 for a three-month supply of my meds. I realize this is still a bargain, but the point is, things haven't been the same since Trump took office.
