From there the plane will be towed over to Paine Field across an airplane bridge that crosses a big highway. (Always amazing to be driving along and see a huge unpainted plane that looks like it is driving across an overpass!) There it will undergo more testing than you ever thought was possible, including flight testing. Then they'll fly her down to Boeing Field, about 30 miles south, for paint and final inspection by Boeing then by the customer's inspectors. It is quite a process.

That colossal building will still be used to build 767's and 777's, and so far as I know all the 747 builders will just transfer over to the other planes. They've been building 767's and 777's there, anyway.

If you're ever in the area, take the tour -- if you're even mildly a fan of airplanes, it is mind boggling.

The USA have just made a prisoner swap with Russia: WNBA star Brittney Griner held for drug charges returned to the states, while Russia got back arms dealer Viktor Bout.

Her plane landed in San Antonio, Texas. Griner was freed from Russia in exchange for notorious international arms dealer Viktor Bout.
