Tommy Robinson’s right-hand man allegedly had a cocaine-fuelled affair with a woman who is now the director of communications for a Texas congressman.

Danny Tommo, 31, is alleged to have had a sexual relationship with Lisa Barbounis while she was employed by the Middle East Forum (MEF), an American conservative think tank that pledged financial support to Robinson, the founder of the English Defence League.

US court documents seen by The Times claim that Tommo, real name Daniel Thomas, would buy cocaine for Mrs Barbounis while she was in the UK helping Robinson’s campaign.

The documents allege that she “hatched a plan to emigrate to the United Kingdom to start a new life with a man named Daniel Thomas, whom she met through her work at MEF, and with whom she soon after began a sexual affair”. They add: “During these visits, Barbounis and Thomas would stay together in the same hotel room (sometimes unwittingly paid for by MEF), engage in sexual relations, and use illegal drugs.”


The lawsuit is a counterclaim against Mrs Barbounis, who had lodged a sexual harassment claim against Gregg Roman, the director of the MEF, which he denies. Her claim alleges: “In April 2018 Defendant, Gregg Roman sexually assaulted Plaintiff, Lisa Barbounis when he stuck his foot under Plaintiff’s rear-end and made an unwelcome sexual suggestion.”

According to the report,

“Barbounis began neglecting her job duties and responsibilities to MEF as she devoted substantial attention to her sexual relationship with Thomas,” the documents say. “At the time of the rally or shortly thereafter, Barbounis became aware that, of the $32,000 provided to support the Robinson rally, Thomas had misappropriated at least $7,000 for his own personal use.”

The documents, filed in the Pennsylvania eastern district court, claim that Thomas used the money to help move his family into a “newer home in a nicer area”. They state: “Barbounis repeatedly assured Thomas that she would not tell MEF management about his misappropriation of funds. Thomas reports that he and Barbounis would use cocaine ‘every time I saw her’ and ‘every time we were out she would ask me to get it and we would do cocaine all night’.”

So, at the very least, they allege she covered up the misappropriation of funds.

Early this morning there was a massive explosion in downtown Nashville, Tennesseee. There is extensive damage but three people received only minor injuries in the blast.

Reportedly, police were called to the area outside the County Courthouse in downtown Nashville for "shots fired". When they got there, they didn't see any evidence of a gunman or any shots having been fired; but they immediately noticed the big RV parked in front of the courthouse that was....apparently broadcasting a warning that it was about to explode in 15 minutes??? Police called the bomb squad and began evacuating the area, but the RV exploded before the bomb squad arrived.

Okay so correction. I said earlier that the explosion happened outside a "county courthouse". Apparently that was inaccurate.

The explosion happened on 2nd Avenue in Nashville, between Church Street and Commerce Street. The RV was parked in front of a building that basically serves as an AT&T data center. On the other side of the street is just a bunch of restaurants.

Over the course of the day since the explosion, AT&T has started having a lot of regional service disruptions of things like mobile service and 911 service in some Kentucky and Tennessee communities, as a result of damage to the computers in this building.

CNN reports that police have found "what they believe to be human remains" near the site of the Nashville explosion. They're being analyzed. No other information, and obviously unknown yet if this was a victim or a perpetrator.

AT&T's main office in Nashville is a couple of blocks away (people call it the "bat building") and the explosion took out one of their network hubs, so maybe it was someone who really really hated that company. It was also two blocks from the state capitol. So who knows. I assume they will find out more as they examine all the debris from the RV. I think the explosion was on the street behind the row of older buildings in the picture:

We now enter the terrorism phase. They don't think it is that, but damn right it is. They have gotten to rewrite history to make their history and acts of terrosrism sound heroic. As they say, "The victors write history." Fuck that.

You are right. In fact, the enchilada-red building on the right there is the very AT&T data center that was damaged. The bomb went off right between it and the older buildings in front of it.
