I think a lot of the mockery is misdirected; it thinks the slogan was poorly chosen because it can be read as "accidentally" saying something it doesn't mean to, which makes the effort funny. IMO, that's wrong - what people are thinking is a mistake is actually exactly what the ad is trying to say. Yeah, the old man is literally saying that he does meth.

This (from their website) seems to be using it to mean "we're dealing with it" rather than "we use it". It's actually a clever approach, if the Internet didn't exist.

If I were spending nearly a half million dollars on an ad campaign I'd do a little audience testing before rolling it out.

I get what they were trying to do with the advert, but I didn't think it worked, not least because it never told me what, exactly, all these folks who were "on Meth" were actually doing about the problem, or what I should do if I were concerned about it (as a user, or a relative of a user, or as someone who wanted to help either meth users or law enforcement).
