How about chewing gum?

(google)

Holy cow, dentists are really recommending brands of gum, now, in 2024. Not 1964.

That reminds me that I have asked my dentist about toothpaste (mostly because I can't stand mint). He looked at me like I asked him his opinion on the possibility of water on Mars.
I like mint, but not in toothpaste for some reason. Makes me gag. Which is why I use cinnamon flavoured Close-Up. It might not be very fancy, but it’s the only one I like.

Yeah, cinnamon is the kind I try to find and get. Super hard to find, for some reason, though. Seems most toothpasth has some version of mint flavor.

I've spent years hoping for a chocolate-flavored toothpaste. I'll keep hoping.

EDIT: Instead of just hoping, I went searching and see it's everywhere. Now to find a good one at a decent price...
Wow, I had no idea. Great stocking stuffer for my husband - I personally don't like chocolate, but my husband makes up for that by eating twice as much as he probably should. 🍫

I just made a cappuccino and accidentally grabbed the pepper grinder instead of the one that has chocolate in it.

Spicy frothed milk, yummy.

ETA: for those wondering, if you put chocolate flakes in a spice grinder and add some sugar to it, you can grind the chocolate without the grinder getting gunked up.

Experienced my second xmas advert of the year on youtube! It's for a Nutcracker production at the Boston Ballet, so I probably should allow this one. :censored:

Irony: my first thought was that’s pretty metal.

On Tuesday, Elwood Edwards, the voice behind the online service America Online's iconic "You've got mail" greeting, died at age 74, one day before his 75th birthday, according to Cleveland's WKYC Studios, where he worked for many years. The greeting became a cultural touchstone in the 1990s and early 2000s in the early Internet era; it was heard by hundreds of millions of users when they logged in to the service and new email was waiting for them.

The story of Edwards' famous recording began in 1989 when Steve Case, CEO of Quantum Computer Services (which later became America Online—or AOL for short), wanted to add a human voice to the company's Quantum Link online service. Karen Edwards, who worked as a customer service representative, heard Case discussing the plan and suggested her husband Elwood, a professional broadcaster.

Edwards recorded the famous phrase (and several others) into a cassette recorder in his living room in 1989 and was paid $200 for the service. His voice recordings of "Welcome," "You've got mail," "File's done," and "Goodbye" went on to reach millions of users during AOL's rise to dominance in the 1990s online landscape.

lol, you know I never really realized that was a guy? I guess I kind of always assumed it was some electronically-created voice clip.
