This story made me incredibly sad, no child should have to suffer abuse. She came out of it with incredible strength of character but still, I was so angry when I read that they did not believe her when she turned him in. So angry.
Smile all you want, you're not getting mine...I would smile for a free coffee.

Insecurities surrounding the perceived loss of control of women.I don't understand when men "need" me to smile.
"I'll smile when I see your nuts being ground into paste."I can't count the number of times in my life that men have told me to smile. So many that being told to smile is like a trigger for me and all I can do is grimace.![]()
Try asking them "When was the last time they asked a black man if they played the banjo, or asked a random Asian guy for help with their computer."I've only told another man or woman to smile like maybe a few times in my life. And I was being sardonic when I did it.

Ha! I'm betting the honest answer would be, "Last Thursday. Why?"Try asking them "When was the last time they asked a black man if they played the banjo, or asked a random Asian guy for help with their computer."
Karma. It's spelled K-A-R-M-A, and pronounced "HA-HA!"
If you have a spare...month, The Onion has put up an archive of front pages for 1900-1999 (give or take). I can't pick just one to sample, but I will anyway...The Onion is going back to selling a print version of their...paper. WHA?!
