We ate loads of food. I got socks and Dajarnik.
The game is actually called, and generally spelled, Dejarik in Galactic Standard. The N is only pronounced in the Svivren sector of the Outer Rim. We don’t wear no shoes out here none neither.

Too much popcorn, not enough cheese?
Something like that. I do a lot of facepalming and primal screaming and eyerolling and WTFing and Grumpy Cat-ing and that's just RL. ;-) If I didn't use VVO as a filter for political news I'd probably be going AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAARRRRRGGGGG more often.

Decorated trees... What a waste of time decorating the trees when you have dancing and sex and lust to get to!

The only thing not fun about decorating the house for the holidays is un-decorating the house.

The tree is down but I'm still pulling window clings off all the windows.

I'm getting too old for this. 🥵

Happy New Year everyone! 🍾🥂 🍷 🍺🍻 🍸🍹🍼

(Wondering if I should start drinking now).

It used to be tradition over here to leave the christmas decoration up until after January 6th (the day of the three kings).
Nowadays people tend to un-decorate earlier, but very seldom before January 2.
I will kill my Christmas tree upcoming monday.

And of course you can start drinking Rose, it is almost seven o'clock over here.
🥂

Let's hope 22 does not turn out to be a rerun of 21.
Happy New Year to you all.

And if you didn't take your decorations down Twelfth Night you were supposed to leave them up until groundhog day. Or candlemas, whichever comes first.

Yes, February 2. used to be the end of the Christmas time in the catholic parts before the second Vatican council.
My father and I were responsible for the Christmas decoration for more than 25 years in our parish church.
The sacristan always wanted the Nativity scene to stay on display in the church until that date.
Old people tended to keep burning candles there until February 2 when they visited for a mass and that was extra income for the parish.

It's always been a family tradition of ours, when I was growing up, to leave the Christmas stuff up until epiphany. I've pretty much held to that tradition.

We were only four for Christmas, two of our bubble were under Covid watch. We were supposed to finish our gift exchange Sunday, but now I have a “cold” so maybe we’ll meet up for Epiphany and galette des rois.

Whatever, I’m watching coronation street with a beer… Happy New Years!
