Dark Souls is notorious for its difficulty. It is considered a "hardcore-centric" game, so I don't own it.Can anyone attest to this? Because it looks like I may be missing out on something.
Don't get me wrong I really love the idea - but, the idea is not that clever or new, and is just how Minecraft ends up banned in those countries like all the other multiplayer games in which players have tried creating the exact same thing.![]()
New Minecraft library is clever loophole and safe haven for censored journalism
The Uncensored Library will house articles blocked in countries without proper press freedoms where Minecraft is still available.www.pcgamer.com
Sigh. I had to quit OW. I'm no better than bronze, and there is no longer any game mode where I can improve. QP is mostly roflstomps, which isn't fun even when you're on the winning side, and isn't instructive either way. Competitive in bronze is full of smurfs and derankers. I'm told it's tougher to play there than in silver. Walking from spawn isn't very instructive, either. So, farewell Overwatch.Overwatch replay share is a thing now. Here's a game where I got PoTG > BE8WF3 =^-^=
Surely you realize that this is a necessary game of Whack-A-Mole wherein the public who create channels to be informed are the moles and repressive governments are the mole-whackers?Don't get me wrong I really love the idea - but, the idea is not that clever or new, and is just how Minecraft ends up banned in those countries like all the other multiplayer games in which players have tried creating the exact same thing.

For those who want a more open-world RPG, AC: Odyssey is the one to get, though in many ways it breaks from traditional AC gameplay. For me, that was a good thing. They're also on sale on PSN as part of the Mega March Sale. The best deal is for AC Odyssey Gold Edition, which gets you the base game and the season pass (which means ALL the addon quests) AND the remastered versions of AC III and AC Liberation (which was originally Vita only and the first AC with a female primary character) for the PS4.All the Assassin's Creed games are now on sale on Steam! Really cheap too, a lot of them.
I have played the entire series - it is my favorite series of games. Of them, my most played are Odyssey, AC 2, Unity, Syndicate and Origins. Origins and Odyssey are both a departure from the previous games. Syndicate was the last traditional AC game, and even it changed a lot. For some reason I didn't get super into Black Flag. I've revisited it several times but I have never gotten that far in it. AC 2 was my favorite for a long time (I don't like Brotherhood and Revelations as much, which were two direct sequels to it), but Odyssey ended up being my favorite. I've put several hundred hours into it, and I still have the option of playing again as Kassandra since I played through as Alexios. All the Assassin's Creed games are now on sale on Steam! Really cheap too, a lot of them.
I haven't really played any of the games yet. Last month, I bought the very first old AC game since it was cheapish, and I played around with it for a bit, but I didn't really find myself getting into it all that well - though I have to say I really like the game's environments, the actual game was somewhat repetitive and got old really quickly.
But I just read a few blogs about what's the best game to "start" playing Assassin's Creed at, and every single one of them says you should actually start with AC 2 - or, barring that, AC 4, because even as early as Assassin's Creed 2 the game was already quite vastly different (and less slow/"boring") than the first game.
Unfortunately AC 2 is unavailable on Steam at least right now, and I don't want to play any of the immediate non-numbered sequels that carry the same character until I play that one first. AC 3 is also not available. So, looks like I'm going to start with 4, "Black Flag". Since it is STEEPLY on sale I also got Origins, because OMG Egypt and I've wanted to play it since it came out for that reason; but I'll hold off on playing it until I've played some of these others first.
If you're stuck in the house due to the coronavirus outbreak this week, Ubisoft has a nice gaming option for you. Its 2018 action RPG Assassin's Creed Odyssey will be playable for free from Thursday, March 19, to Sunday, March 22, on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
You'll have access to the whole base game (which lasts around 40 hours), but not extra downloadable content chapters Legacy of the First Blade and The Fate of Atlantis. Any progress you make will carry over to the full game, if you decide to buy it after the free period expires.
