I remember people defending Sucker Punch because ...

... Because Bjork's "Army of Me" slaps and can carry just about anything it's in. Like Tank Girl (which also introduced me to 'Portishead' which I still love).

Bjork does indeed slap. But I have rewatched Tank Girl. It's not the same as the comics, but that's a good thing as the comics are not really screen-friendly. It has the main thing Sucker Punch is missing: fun.

Yeah, let's go! And remember: this came out in 1964 in the UK, and was labeled as children television. Doctor Who started in 1963, but the special effects in Doctor Who of that time are just clunky compared to what Thunderbird achieved.

I actually read the novelization of that episode before I had a chance to see it, and there was all kinds of plot-bunny background information in it.

I think we still had a black and white TV at the time.

By the way "Filmed in Supermarionation" is also the name of a documentation about the people behind this series available on Netflix. Very interesting to see how it worked there, as well how they progressed and improved over time.

I am just surprised there was a novelization for a show made using puppets.
