First Prey, now...

What whacky doofus in the money portion of the movie biz is signing off on all of this? Are they just doing whatever they feel good about, instead of looking for what will guarantee to bank? Feels risky... (Also, serious Alien franchise tie-in, without xenomorphs apparently making an appearance. Crazy...)

Looks like crap to me. But we haven't had a half bodied character since C-3PO, Hewey, Dewey and Louie from Silent Running, the corpse from Hellboy, Bishop from Aliens, the corpse from Return of the Living Dead, the woman in the waiting room in Beetlejuice, Chucky from Child's Play, amongst others.

On my to watch list:
Peacemaker Season 2
Wednesday Season 2
Fallout Season 2

Noodles

The sequel will probably be better.

I don't look too far ahead on TV anymore. Everything somehow takes 50 years between seasons. Its like living in England or something.

Been watching through Law and Order: Organized Crime.

Caught up on The Rookie I think, and am looking forward to more of that.

Probably will watch Daredevil.

Still need to watch Season 2 of Rings of Power.

Once the current Strange New Worlds season finishes I'll watch through that one as well.

Good news.

Well hot damn! That's doubly good news because I miscounted how many seasons there were... I thought they were airing the 4th and final season -now-, and it's only the 3rd season?!

First two episodes of season 3 were really enjoyable, 8 more to go AND two more seasons?! I'm giddy, I love this show and its characters (particularly: Ortegas, Spock, Pike, La'an, Pelia), so much!! =D

I’m presently binging through Deep Space 9. Haven’t watched since it was on the teevee and honestly, it was a period in my life where I was really busy so I’m sure I missed some episodes.

I need to try to watch DS9 again. Years ago I tried a couple of times and....honestly like, the first few episodes were (to me at the time) just...so...boring and motionless and Avery's acting was so strange that I couldn't get through them. Each time I was just like, "I can't do this". But so many people who like things I like said they liked this show. One of these days I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and do it.

Yeah, I remember being a tad put off by Avery Brooks’ acting at first. He has a very theatrical way of acting and it kind of clashes with the rest of the actors who seem more natural. The woman who plays Kira seems like she would be good in musical theatre, just a firecracker. The cast settles in eventually.

You are not alone. DS9 is unwatchable for the most part. There are a couple dozen good episodes we can string together that tell the whole story.

A cost-conscious ad-free streaming service - for now...

In the comments:
« Bunch of scifi and adjacent stuff in there I haven't seen in years. Earth: Final Conflict, Andromeda, Ash vs Evil Dead, both of the La Femme Nikita series, Lexx, Continuum, Relic Hunter, MutantX, The Dead Zone, Beastmaster, Camelot, Manhattan, Psi-factor, Bubblegum Crisis, The Lost Room, Primeval, Painkiller Jane, etc..... and Suburgatory! Plus a whole lot more. Not the best stuff, but not bad for $3 with no ads. »

As most of you are probably aware, Stephen Colbert's late show on CBS has been cancelled. Many speculate this is because CBS wants to merge with Paramount in a multi billion dollar deal. He continues to give hard hitting commentary. He has been given 10 months(when his contract expires?) which is quite a while. We shall see if he is allowed to continue.

CBS is trapped now with him.

People are alreadt dumping Paramount+ etc over this assuming (correctly) its due to Trump's demands for the Skydance merger. They claim its unrelated.

If they dump him early now, it becomes a mes very clear, that the real reasons n was cowtowing go the Nazis. It will probably destroy a lot of their remaining followers.
