Not surprised.

I get a lot of misidrected email on one of my accounts that, unlike most, has a common word for the user part. Including bank details, big real estate transactions, insurance and HR paperwork, travel bookings and hotel confirmations, I could cause people so much trouble if I were inclined.
So does anyone happen to have Donald Trump's email and social media accounts, or those of his close advisors and money men? Asking for a friend.

You'd think Mike from Sales would wonder why he isn't getting these messages from HR that everyone's complaining about. Nope, people go years never once filling out the Company General Meeting Surveys.

I knew there was a reason I never buy HP printers. But of course, there were several reasons before that.
I'm typing this from an HP laptop, but hell no, never buy an hp printer. That's been true for 10 or 20 years.

I bought an HP printer just before COVID but I made DAMN sure not to sign up for their ink delivery scam.

Okidata dot matrix for the win. It's built like a tank and I need a new $6 ribbon once every 5-10 years.
Previous generation: How did you guys deal with the noise in like an office setting where multiple of these machines would be printing for hours on end, without going insane?

We had a bunch of Oki 320's where I worked. I don't recall noise being an issue. I don't think they were generally pumping out pages for hours, maybe a few pages at a time. They were built like a rock.

How about this? This ebike here is VanMoof, a Dutch company.

These things are mobile connected, do use cloud services (no kidding here!) and can be unlocked via cell phone.

VanMoof is now bankrupt, so the servers will probably gone away soon. So there's now only a small time window left for owners of such a thing to copy their encrypted keys from the servers, normally used to unlock the bike, in order to be able to still use them.

So even while owning the bike, if the company should go away, does not any longer mean that you can use it.

I mean if Tesla ever would go out of business, it will be probably the same there then.

This is why I absolutely refuse to become dependent on smart/cell phones. People can't afford to just throw away money on something they can't even use.

Either a dedicated printer room or out on the factory floor where a printer was a relatively quiet noise source.

They were often built into sound proof cabinets about the size of a washing machine.
Little known tuthy-ish fact-ish, when you would print fake dollar bills in these printer washing machines, it was called "Laundering Money."

or in a closet / server room / restroom (I kid you not) / office of the hated coworker that everyone wished would just quit and go home
