Thanks for the very interesting read!

I've encountered pieces of this theory before and I think there is a lot of truth to it. I do not believe history has predictable, repeating "cycles" as some do, but I do agree we'll never go back to "normal."
I disagree, because one thing in history repeats itself over and over again: all empires are doomed to collapse somewhere in their history. Or morph into something very different.

My problem with the comic is that Sartre introduces a conflict between unconstrained and limited free will. But never resolves it. Typical Existentialist...

That's what I remember most about working in food service.
I mostly remeber buildng little castles out of BBQ sauce cups when I was bored in the back drive through at McDonalds and the lady who came in once a week to Sunway who would order a foot long with extra extra bacon and mayo then feed it to her dog.

Was the dog a party to this, or was it being forced fed?

I am not sure on that, but I do know it seemed nurty because you can buy bacon at the store way cheaper than Subway

Yeah actually. You kind of have to know what you want. When I worked there (gawd 25 years ago) we had paper slips where we circled ingredients. Its probably more techy these days.

If he's anything like my dog, he'll eat anything that isn't nailed down (and if it is, he'll chew on that).
