With a few exceptions (breakfast once in a while), I have just stopped eating out.
Either A) there is a line over an hour long to be seated, B) the music is so loud that you can't hear yourself think, let alone have a conversation at the table, C) the service is poor, mostly because they have one poor person working WAY too many tables and D) (probably the most important) the quality of the food has been incredibly disappointing.
This includes fast food restaurants too. The last McDonald's burger I got tasted like cardboard. The bun was dry and I took two bites and tossed it.
Last night I had to transport some kittens from the animal shelter to their new foster home. It was late and Wendy's is near my house. Wendy's recently installed
a really bad AI at the drive through, incredibly frustrating because it kept insisting on giving me some kind of chocolate frosty thing that I didn't want. It was like being in an episode of the X files.
I finally gave up, went inside and used the electronic ordering system except all I could see on it to order were bacon cheese burgers and I didn't want bacon. Beyond frustrated by then and hungry, I just left and threw a Marie Callender's chicken pot pie in the microwave when I got home. It was actually a lot better than the last card board burger I had.
