One would think it was a law in Alabama. Stop, look, inch forward, turn the wheel, roll half way into the turn, stop, look around, park, get out and gauge the distance from the curb, then, once back in the car, look around one more time before committing to roll completely into the drive. I missed that page in the manual when we took drivers ed but it seems that everybody else studied it very closely.
