I saw pretty much the whole of the modern internet in 1979, and I described it for my High School senior class. I drew a Venn diagram of high-speed data, modern (2020-era) CPU and graphic processors, and high speed data transmission, predicting multi-player immersive games, online scheduling & video conferences, online books and videos, and cloud computing. I didn't say anything about porn, however. (Yes, I'd already figured out rule 34, but...high school, right?).
I mean, it was so obvious. Anyone who'd seen both the moon landing and 2001:A Space Oddysey at the age of 9 and grew up on Star Trek knew it was coming. That, and I saw something similar in school, a time-share system that went out to all high schools.
Too bad I didn't have any money to invest in it as I saw it being pieced together. I definitely would have gone in on Amazon and backbone infrastructure providers like Cisco.
