Per the Garrett Haake tweet, there is a government website that lists all contracts awarded. I see nothing yet for a border wall:

You need to sort on the "Action Date" column to get the most recent actions.

Eventually some reporter or researcher whose google-fu is as good as mine will check this. There may be a few days delay from when contracts get signed to when they get reported, since they only show dates up to Dec 21st. I'd wait a few days until contracts *after* Trump's tweet are posted to be sure he's lying.

Yes I know the political spectrum or even the political compass is is too simple, I used to be a small-l-libertarian myself... but I grew out of it.

Even IF there were enough deluded individuals out there willing to re-elect that dumpster fire to actually keep him in office, he wouldn't make it another six years. After just under two, he's already coming apart at the seams and becoming more unhinged by the day. Fact of the matter is, if he doesn't get impeached first, he'll be Amendment 25'd before too long.

Regardless of who's in office, the U.S. won't be bouncing back any time soon (economically, politically, civil liberties, etc), I'll tell you that for nothing.

It's amazing how much damage can be wreaked in two years. It will take decades to repair, and that's assuming that we can elect competent politicians for the next 30 years. At this point, that's a stretch to even imagine.

• Our alliances are trashed and former allies can no longer trust us to maintain treaty continuity
• Hundreds of civil servant jobs -- and all the experience they represented -- are vacant. That expertise will be difficult to build back.
• We're losing precious years of climate change mitigation that will cost lives and millions of dollars in the short term and disaster in the longer term
• Tax breaks for corporations and the wealthy have supercharged our already dangerous levels of income disparity
• Any benefits from those tax breaks are being wiped out by the tariff wars with China
• We're fucking up the Middle East even more than usual
• We're fucking up with North Korea even more than usual

That's an incomplete list at best, but hey, it's Christmas, so there's only so long I can bear to dwell on how fucked we are as a country.
