It's a wonderful interview

Later he was interviewed outside his home by Piers Morgan in the Good Morning Britain studio. He asked the presenter: “Who are you?”

Here's your tracking microchip injection conspiracy theory.

The Trump administration is requiring states to submit personal information of people vaccinated against Covid-19 — including names, birth dates, ethnicities and addresses, raising alarms among state officials who fear that a federal vaccine registry could be misused.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is instructing states to sign so-called data use agreements that commit them for the first time to sharing personal information in existing registries with the federal government. Some states, such as New York, are pushing back, either refusing to sign or signing while refusing to share the information.
Administration officials say that the information will not be shared with other federal agencies and that it is “critically necessary” for several reasons: to ensure that people who move across state lines receive their follow-up doses; to track adverse reactions and address safety issues; and to assess the effectiveness of the vaccine among different demographic groups.

At a briefing with a small group of reporters on Monday, officials from Operation Warp Speed, the government’s vaccine initiative, defended the plan. They said all but a handful of states had signed data agreements, and the rest would sign by the end of the week, though it is not clear how many states will submit personal information.

“There is no social security number being asked for; there is no driver’s license number,” said Deacon Maddox, who runs the operation’s data and analysis system. “The only number I would say that is asked is the date of birth.”

“If it wasn’t me, I wouldn’t have been put in a hospital, frankly,” Giuliani told WABC New York. “Sometimes when you’re a celebrity, they’re worried if something happens to you they’re going to examine it more carefully, and do everything right.”
Quite a thing being famous -- priority medical treatment, and they let you grab them by the pussy!

*facepalm*

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield instructed staff to delete an email from a Trump political appointee seeking control over the agency’s scientific reports on the pandemic, a senior CDC official told congressional investigators this week.

Redfield’s apparent instruction was revealed in a Monday closed-door interview with the House subcommittee probing the White House's coronavirus response, which includes the Trump administration’s interference at the federal public health agency. It came following an Aug. 8 email sent by Paul Alexander, who was then the scientific adviser to Health and Human Services spokesperson Michael Caputo, aiming to water down the CDC’s famed Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports to align with President Donald Trump’s efforts to downplay the virus.

I loved the different perspectives on cooking and eating in this article. I also was very sad reading about people who were struggling to put food on the table and how they were managing.

Actually more of an Avalanche of people losing thier homes as soon as the eviction moratorium expires and others taking advantage of the situation but whos goona say that outloud?
The trigger: work from home policies instituted by companies during the pandemic are now expected to be made permanent.

Employees are already visiting Miami to shop for a permanent home in advance of those announcements, thanks to better weather and lower taxes, he said.

12 pm to 6am isn't going to help much.....

Rep. Dick Hinch, a Republican who was elected speaker of the New Hampshire House just one week ago, died of COVID-19 on Wednesday. This comes about a month before the state legislature, the largest in the U.S., is expected to convene for its regularly scheduled annual session.

[...]

Hinch was formally elected House speaker on Dec. 2 at an outdoor session held on an athletic field at the University of New Hampshire because of coronavirus concerns. Earlier that same week, several Republican House members were confirmed to have tested positive for the coronavirus after attending an indoor GOP caucus meeting.
He most likely caught the virus at the outdoor session where he was elected speaker.

This is scary: Coronavirus crippling emergency response agencies: ‘What if you call EMS and nobody comes?’

What many people don't realize is that COVID deaths are in addition to other deaths that occur. So deaths from car accidents, fires, overdoses, suicides, murders, heart disease, cancer, home and workplace accidents are still happening. The system was already on the edge and COVID is beginning to push it over. The same holds true for hospitals and mortuaries and even medical examiners and coroners.

COVID is insidious because unless it happens to us (or someone in our family) or unless we are in one of the industries what is overwhelmed, we don't see all the ramifications until it's too late.

That's been the government's main concern here -- to keep the NHS from being overwhelmed to the extent they don't have enough hospital beds for everyone who needs one, for whatever reason, Covid-19 or something else.

Lengthy piece by one of my favourite curmudgeons (present company excepted, of course) on how Covid-19 has shaken some certainties, or at least changed some assumptions, or how he thinks it has, anyway:

Controlling the world by injecting phones into people's blood was the finale of a very dark and funny comedy in the '60s. Spoiler because it's a spoiler!

The President's Analyst starring James Coburn - 1967. The villainous organization was TPC, The Phone Company
