The presence on Parler of active military and police raises concerns, experts said, about their potential exposure to far-right conspiracy theories and extremist ideologies enabled by the platform’s practically nonexistent moderation and its stated openness to hate speech. Military officials have long considered infiltration and recruitment by white supremacist groups a threat. Groups that endorsed a wide range of racist beliefs appear to have been operating openly on Parler, the experts said, with the de facto permission of its owners. The FBI has likewise raised concerns over law enforcement agents adopting radical views and being recruited—viewing their access to secured buildings, elected officials, and other VIPs as a singular threat.

Thanks. One of the links contained herein gives a different view of the confrontation with Officer Eugene Goodman from among their ranks. That starts at about the 50 second mark during which point they are demanding that he tell them where the certification session is taking place.

Within about 1 minute, 48 seconds (the time it takes from this group to break into the Capitol as the video starts right before they make entry) they are at that top landing in which he was successfully able to turn them away from chambers and by which accounts have Pence having just been in that same area one minute prior.

One man clad in black clothing can also be seen appearing to be preparing to break into a box holding a fire extinguisher. You can only see it very, very briefly at around the 18 second mark. He is not on video actually breaking it, just heading right to it.

The supposed hosting requirements list for Parler has been leaked. Of course they expect you to provide it for free and the good vibes, of course they call that "partnership", because they have no money. They only need around 550 virtual beast machines and an epic internet connection which can handle external 100-120 GB traffic per second (!) for free.

This means its highly likely they will find somebody who will step in voluntarily fast, because that's at lot stuff going on they do require... and it would also explain why they will be probably offline for quite a long time from now on. It's a shitty service with shitty and bloated internal architecture.

Well when you take the budget for Russia Today and Sputnik, which are the main Russian propaganda outlets, the budget to keep Parler alive again must be a bargain. A bargain with big, big influence.

Parler has apparently secured hosting from Epik to bring itself back online. Epik is best known for helping far-right extremist platform Gab to come back online a short time after a Gab user committed a mass murder at a Pittsburgh synagogue in 2018; it has also provided services to other white nationalist, anti-Semitic, and neo-Nazi platforms including 8chan (now known as 8kun) and The Daily Stormer.

Nice company they're keeping there.

Most notably, DDoS-Guard also provides hosting services to Hamas, which the US has classified as a terrorist organization for more than 20 years.
