We had a goat when I was young. Our house was out in the country, and he was the only goat. When we moved ito the city we had to give it up, so a friend of my dad who had a herd took them in. Apparently the first day they put our goat out, he was kind of confused about what to do. But as they were bringing in the herd, Patches joined the dogs to drive them in. He'd never seen another goat, but he knew dogs.

So, I went to Morocco and because I could I went in search of goats for Beebo. It took a side trip from Marrakech to a town called Essaouira (pronounced sa-wiwa if you're interested) and on the way there was a stop off to see the goats.
Apparently the goats are part of the ecosystem for the argan tree. they eat the fruit and then wander off to shit the seeds elsewhere. Nature eh? However, nothing is ever as it seems and the goats in my pics are encouraged into the tree for the tourists. The children support their families from the tips the tourists on the tour buses give. I've read reports of goats being tied to the trees to keep them in place but these were free range goats who had been trained to hang out there.

Police use riot shields to help recapture runaway Wiltshire goat

“Apparently it’s not very nice,” one of the officers can be heard saying on body-worn camera footage.

The officer added: “We’ve got it on a tow line, we’ve got some [riot] shields because he’s trying to butt my head.”

The animal briefly slipped the lasso before being re-captured and taken home.
