You’re missing the point. If this person had been pulled over multiple times for violating the law, each time there was a chance something might have been found in his possession that might have stopped him. Enough of those kinds of stops might have also resulted in impounding the van which may have revealed something to stop him in his tracks.

But, more importantly, this overt threat of murder has been so normalized by the NRA right that a guy driving around with it didn’t even make cops interested enough to pull him over.
