Some states have strong anti-SLAPP laws, which is why people like to sue in Texas when they can. California or New York have some of the strongest laws that allow defendants to get a suit thrown out early and recover costs.

The Telegraph used to be a decent Conservative newspaper. Yes, it was right-wing, and made no secret of the fact it was pretty much the Conservative Party's in-house daily, but it was still a serious newspaper. After Brexit, though, it descended into right-wing populist nonsense and full-on Brexiter denial of reality. I stopped reading it very soon after -- when I want an alternative to The Guardian I now read The Times, which pretty much occupies the space the Torygraph had once made its own.
