lol, Trump can say all he wants, but SOMEBODY has logged into his account and has been busy deleting tweets, apparently.

But meh, the decision pretty much settles it. That was a hard red line for me. Whether Trump takes him up or not, the fact that he's now free to log in, along with the duplicitous pageantry Musk dressed the decision in (what happened to the "council" he was going to organize to review reinstatements?) is a point of no return. Watching Musk slowly tank the platform was horror-comedy yeah fine, but watching him cackle while he hands Trump a stage to plan the next antidemocratic putsch - lol, miss me with that shiz.

This is going to unacceptably cut into my posting here, cuz like, half of my posts in VVO are just like sharing a tweet, lol. So I'll need to find a substitute content-farm quickly!

FWIW, there's at least a chance that Must used the reinstatement debacle to make news in order to bury the fact that Tesla had to recall a hundred thousand cars yesterday because their brake lights stopped working.

In Germany the official car recall database is open to the public, so anybody can have a look at all car brands with their different recalls anytime about reason for it, severity and so on. Is it the same for the states?

Nice observations about how fragile Musk's ego in reality is, and the consequences of it. People at Tesla were fired which liked tweets which made fun about Musk on Twitter.

And about his little web site called Thud, which was supposed to produce satire but then he pulled the plug because it dawned on him they might target Tesla and SpaceX as well.

It's pretty much the same in the States. There's a website we can go to and enter a VIN to see all active recalls on that vehicle.

Elon Musk e-mailed Twitter TWTR-N staff on Friday asking that any employees who write software code report to the 10th floor of the office in San Francisco early afternoon, according to an e-mail reviewed by Reuters.

The billionaire said in a follow-up e-mail, “If possible, I would appreciate it if you could fly to SF to be present in person,” adding he would be at the company’s headquarters until midnight and would return Saturday morning.

He said the engineers should report at 2 p.m. on Friday.

The emails came a day after hundreds of Twitter employees were estimated to have decided to quit the beleaguered social media company following a Thursday deadline from Musk that staffers sign up for “long hours at high intensity,” or leave.

The company had told employees it would close its offices and cut badge access until Monday, according to two sources, and it was not immediately known whether the headquarters reopened.

Musk ordered employees to e-mail him a summary of what their software code has “achieved” in the past six months, “along with up to 10 screenshots of the most salient lines of code.”

“There will be short, technical interviews that allow me to better understand the Twitter tech stack,” Musk wrote in one of the emails.
