This guy is full of bullshit; he should try getting himself hired by Twitter. He is totally ignoring that Twitter is not a startup, but a billion dollar company which had to scale enormously, and that it also has an eco system of apps which are using it as well.

So his "can do spirit will achieve very big things at Twitter" typical startup train of thoughts will not happen, because Twitter is in no position to break things at large in order to replace them with some others after some time, aside that Twitter is no startup. Getting on the top of the game with a small team can be quite easy, just look how Instagram started back then, staying on top is much harder, challenging and the long term problem, so a totally different game.

Aside he's totally ignorant to the fact, that when somebody behaves like Musk the first people to go usually are the brightest ones your company has to offer, because they do know their value, also most of them are very sensitive about getting treated fairly, and other tech companies will take them with chef's kiss. And the way Musk behaves is really talking bad about their hard work done so far. What will stay are mostly the underachievers, nothing more.

I agree. And many bad managers are very oblivious to the realities of doing the work. A lot of good work happens by going around your manager...

Do small teams maneuver faster than large teams? YES, but that hardly means a big company can go faster by scaling down. And I agree twitter probably lost the brightest and best engineers first.

Thanks. For some reason that flew right over my head. I thought he had already stated that Trump was welcome back.

Since his campaign announcement, Trump is probably making overtures that he would like to use Twitter for his own personal completely free soapbox/propaganda port. Musk is likely just showing this skewed *poll* to justify it when Trump does make his return.
