She supported other artists. That included Beyonce recording a Country album when bro-country gatekeepers were dismissive: if Dolly and Willy were there you can't say it ain't Country. She gave the proceeds of Whitney Huston's cover to African American communities and she invested in rural Tennessee communities. She bought kids SO MANY books. All they had to do was ask and her foundation sent regular books. She never lost what it took her to make it and helped others whenever she could. She wasn't just a great musician and songwriter. She was a great human being.
