People like BJ have at least 9 lives, just like cats.
He sadly will survive the Tory voting IMHO.

Ok, so, according to British MP's the UK is now at war with the Ukraine and Rwanda is a safe European country. Have I got that correct?
These are the sort of fuckwits who'll be voting to keep Boris in place tonight - God* help us all !

* (or any other deity of your choice - I'm in a bit of a quandary here as I'm an atheist...)

Boris will start spinning this as vindication despite the large number of votes against him. He lacks the self awareness to step down.

Someone on the BBC News feed stated that 120-130 votes would embarrass Johnson, but just look at the man and it becomes clear that he is immune to embarrassment.

The number of no confidence votes was much higher than I expected.
He still is in trouble big time even if the Tories can't vote him down during the next 12 months.

The nature of their revolt has an important bearing on what happens next. They are not a faction that has been seen off, or an alternative policy direction that has been defeated. They represent instead a widespread feeling, a collapse of faith, that almost certainly cannot be repaired or reversed. For Johnson, continuing to lead the party after such a revolt will prove to be unsustainable.
