No, it's the old imperial dominions, or what I'm old enough to remember was once called "the White Commonwealth" (I'm also old enough to remember Enoch Powell's "rivers of blood" speech, and a lot more besides).

They are the colonies that didn't rebel, I guess.

ETA: This has got me thinking about definitions and history. They're the colonies the Britain actually settled with British (so white and anglophone) colonists rather than simply governed as colonies. Formal slavery was prohibited, though bonded labour had always been a feature of British colonialism (it was how most settlers arrived, at least initially, and continued as a major engine of migration from Britain's possessions in the Indian subcontinent and east Asia to other parts of the Empire). They're also the colonies in which, as in the US, the original population was actually displaced (whether by being forced off the land or killed outright) so that the colonists became the majority.

Some British regional and traditional cheeses are very good indeed. Generic supermarket Cheddar is best for left for cooking, to my mind, and "Cathedral City," which was invented 25 years ago, is best left well alone, but don't knock our local varieties.
