That's how I've always worked. No-one's ever complained (well, except that one guy, and I resigned from there). I get the job done, and that's what counts.

Not that I'm against stickin' it to the man -- but this wasn't much of a stick. Golf holes are recut every morning. They move them around the green so a path doesn't get worn in the green. Takes about 30 seconds, including time to refill the old hole with the plug cut from the new one. I'm guessing the hole cutter tool would pop that cement right out of there, but if not, greens are built on sandy soil for good drainage, and it will be easy to dig that plug out.

If you've ever been so bored or stoned that you watched a golf tournament on TV, you might have heard them talking about the "pin placement" on such and such a hole -- that's where the hole is cut, and they can make a hole harder or easier by selecting where to cut it.
