Have you looked into ways to possibly add "aged features" to other skins, like with the tattoo layers?
Thank you, but age is only one of the factors that limits my skin options. The most prevalent obstacle is the ingenue bee-stung lips aesthetic or other hyper-exaggerated features of SL's version of femininity. It's difficult to find features that don't look absolutely ridiculous on my face. YS&YS is usually the best fit for me, but even there only one or two skins out of dozens actually work.
Meanwhile, my alt is still playing with Slink Redux, system skins and system clothing. My inventory is filled with dozens of very old fashion hunt items. Old, I mean REALLY OLD: system clothing layers with prim/sculptie attachments for cuffs and collars. But all of them are now immediately wearable on my Slink mesh body.
Wear a jacket, and there it is!
Take off and it's gone!
The majority of the system clothing I sorted thru really wasn't worth keeping because the visual quality doesn't compare to mesh clothing, but there were still some items that work beautifully -- socks, undershirts, boxers. tank tops. I can now add mesh clothing over skin-tight layers without an applier. And I could see this as a great opportunity for fashion creators who don't want to deal with making mesh products or appliers for products that go on mesh.
There's a re-energized market for system layers clothing that anyone can make with Photoshop or Gimp. Socks, stockings, gloves, underwear, undershirts, tattoos and more. It's also an added enhancement that mesh clothing makers can take advantage of in creating ensembles.
