So a pizza restaurant in my area serves...pickle pizza! It has a garlic/oil base (white pizza), and is topped with homemade dill pickles, a cheese blend, and a ranch dressing drizzle. I think I'm gonna try it this week.

Me too, I think I would try that.

OK, I decided I've earned pizza tonight*. I picked up the pickle pizza, but hedged my bets by ordering it personal (8") sized along with another: balsamic veggie.

The verdict on this pickle pizza: Not bad at all. Not something I'd order a lot, but I enjoyed it. Basically it's a white pizza with pickle slices in place of pepperoni. The ranch dressing meshed nicely with the dill and cheese flavors. I might start using ranch as a dill dip. But anyway if you like dill pickles, I think you'll like this.

The balsamic veggie - artichokes, red onions, red peppers, broccoli and garlic tomatoes with a blend of cheeses and a balsamic reduction - was awesome!

* I'm on call through Wednesday night for sales staff my company sent to Las Vegas, because we all know that if your applications are going to go on the fritz, it's going to happen when sales are demoing to potential clients at a conference.

The pickle pizza sounds good, but the balsamic veggie sounds even better. Hold the red peppers and replace with black olives maybe.

Ah American style pizza - either you love it or gonna hate it, there's not much in between.

Personally I do consider this to be an abomination to a good pizza.

Also I laugh at that style of pizza that looks like some one threw a small handfull mozz at a pizza and dropped some leaves on it.
(Not seriously but it always looked silly to me)
