For those that are in a country that makes a big deal out of it (or not) ... how are you spending the day?
I'll probably play a little Planet Crafter with my sister.
Maybe I'll crack a bottle of wine and indulge in writing some absolute garbage "The Last AI war" science fiction that's been rolling around in my head for a few days.
Then put on some Dungeon Crawler Carl, walk uphill to a neighborhood high point with a reasonable ocean view and watch the fireworks over the bay. Whatever it takes to avoid dealing with mobs and event traffic.
Ever since I had a roommate with a greyhound that always freaked out during the almost nightly Sea World fireworks display miles away... I feel sorta guilty about enjoying fireworks knowing the distress that they put so many pets through. But it's not like I can concentrate on anything else while they're shaking the house, so I may as well go watch'm. Maybe we'll have a repeat of 2012's "Big Bay Boom" when the whole show went off all at the same time. Lol. =D
(and that was only one of 3? 4? synchronized barges in the bay, they all did the same thing)
