I watch less TV now. And honestly, I struggle to remember what it was I've watched recently, it's all be so freaking bland.
Yeah, I don't watch what most people call TV. Just the criterion channel, youtube, a radio app for wxpn, very rarely amazon prime.

Michael Madsen, the actor best known for his coolly menacing, steely-eyed, often sadistic characters in the films of Quentin Tarantino including “Reservoir Dogs” and “Kill Bill: Vol. 2,” has died.

Madsen was found unresponsive in his home in Malibu, California, on Thursday morning and pronounced dead, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Watch Commander Christopher Jauregui said. He is believed to have died of natural causes and authorities do not suspect any foul play was involved. Madsen’s manager Ron Smith said cardiac arrest was the apparent cause. He was 67.
Madsen’s career spanned more than 300 credits stretching back to the early 1980s, many in low-budget and independent films. He often played low-level thugs, gangsters and shady cops in small roles. Tarantino would use that identity, but make him a main character.

The Minecraft movie is on HBO here at work and, maybe I am just not the "target demo", but I am not really enjoying it. Its a lotta obnoxious.
I tried to watch it. I didn't get that far into it. I just couldn't stand how far apart the sound and the action on the screen turned out to be.
*(action)Two people in store moving mouths; later tearing open foil and eating
*(sound)conversation from five minutes ago occurs while above action occurs on screen
*(action)People bouncing around licking dogs
*(sound)conversation from store occurs while people bounce around licking dogs; now image on screen is of a school administrator, sound is foil being torn open and now sound of eating

Yeah, nope, I'm out.

I watch less TV now. And honestly, I struggle to remember what it was I've watched recently, it's all be so freaking bland. I've started watching something and then 5 minutes in realise "geeze this is predicta... oh wait... I think I've seen this one before."

Finding out that Wheel of Time got axed has left me in a funk. I should probably just put all my streaming services on hold until some new 'must see' comes out.
I’m feeling a tad like you. Not a whole lot grabs me when it comes to series or movies anymore. I need to care about the characters. I also appreciate a good, well written story, but often, when I do find something I love, it gets canceled.

I find myself watching older free stuff instead of what’s offered on my streaming services. I think I’m just going to sub then unsub when I really want to see something, and rent. In any case, it’s not like I have enough time to watch everything anyway.

Could we get someone who kind of fits the warrior body type AND can emote?
You take a female Arnold Schwarzenegger in physicality, or you take D-list Sandra Bullock. You can't have both - the production team can't afford the cost.

Yeah I don't know much about Red Sonja but isn't she pretty ripped.

Decided to rewatch the last episode from last season of Strange New Worlds before starting season 3, then figured I may as well watch the singing episode all the way through first, just to be thorough. It wasn’t as bad as I feared, but hoping it was a one-off ☺

People talk about that singing episode but even TOS had singing pretty frequently, though less produced and elaborate.

I don’t mind singing, just not in a Broadway musical style. They did do a good job of it, if you like that type of thing.

TNG & DS9 liked having Klingon singing.

Just not the kind shown on Strange New Worlds.

I'm grumpity, and fixating too on what's going/gone (wheel of time, colbert).
So I'm trying to cheer myself up and focus on what I'm looking forward to most in no particular order:

Only Murders in the Building (Season 5, Hulu)
Hasbin Hotel (Prime/YouTube), and more Helluva Boss
Foundation (Season 3) and Neuromancer (AppleTV)
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (4th & Final season, Paramount)
Peacemaker (Season 2, HBOMax)
Wednesday (Season 2, Netflix)

I'm sure I've forgotten something. What are ya'll looking forward to that hasn't come out yet?
