Quite the collection of DUI hires coming up.
Doesn't freak them out like the DEI hires do. Drink up.Quite the collection of DUI hires coming up.
I guess they didn't want to be part of The Great Coming Together.Carrie Underwood lost a little over 10% of her Spotify listeners in one day.

Did the same happen for the Village People?Carrie Underwood lost a little over 10% of her Spotify listeners in one day.

They seem to have had a lot of turnover over the years. Only the cop is left from the original group.Does anyone know if its actuallynThe Village People or just The Village Person (the cop) planning to perform.
I saw them live about 20 years ago -- a few of the original or near-original members were in the group that appeared and ... well, they tried. They sang to pre-recorded tracks and there may have been some lip-synching going on (though, if so, they were really good at it -- it was not obvious.)They seem to have had a lot of turnover over the years. Lots of things make me sad. Seeing washed-up old no-talent actors get a second chance doesn't even twitch my needle.
I was going to say, I kind of liked that recent movie where Mel Gibson was the angry Santa Clause, but it was 5 years ago.Lots of things make me sad. Seeing washed-up old no-talent actors get a second chance doesn't even twitch my needle.
If I had a needle.

I will say, Victor Willis, aka The Cop, current owner of the group, and lead singer, was still in good voice and shape. David Hodo, The Construction Worker, seemed to be, to put it charitably, perhaps suffering from jet lag; it seemed to me like the other group members visibly helped him get oriented a few times. Mostly the pre--existing audience energy carried the day.
So, Der Drumpenfuhrer ain't gettin' an earth-shaking show. He's getting a 73-year-old lead singer with several freelancers in costumes who will do a passable Village People karaoke.
