The freak show reached a delusional peak at a press conference Thursday, when Trump lawyer Sidney Powell — who also ginned up deep-state nonsense while defending Michael Flynn — told the nation about her acid trip:
“I want the American public to know right now that we will not be intimidated. American patriots are fed up with the corruption at the local level to the highest level of our government. We are going to take this country back. We are not going to be intimidated. We are not going to back down. We are going to clean this mess up now. President Trump won by a landslide. We are going to prove it.”
To reiterate, the guy who she says “won by a landslide” will lose by nearly 7 million votes.
Don't look at me, I didn't say that - just... you know... "some" people.Hey!
It's not that the nation would have two presidents. It would have the constitutional president and it would have the pretender to the presidency. Escorted from the White House or whatever, he'd still have his millions of fanatical followers, all more butthurt than ever. The consequent disorder would make it very difficult to govern. Trump has a surplus of the right kind of crazy to care only about his hurt pride and will stop at nothing to discharge his desire for vengeance. No, we would only have one president. While donnie can try to grab it we actually elect someone. There is not even a situation like it was really close or one got the popular vote and the other the electoral. All he has is he is going to pout.
A big part of the Allied program for the leftovers of Hitler's Drittes Reich was the reeducation, trying to convince the people about that the Nazis were bad and alll.It will be a long, drawn-out process involving multiple criminal cases. Once he and his family are in jail and their phones are taken away, his supporters will gradually fade away, like in Germany after WWII.
Breitbart...pfft.Republican Governor Larry Hogan has something to tell to Trump:
"If the Republican establishment stands back and stands by and allows the steal to go through, we will do whatever it takes to completely destroy the Republican Party," he said. "We will accept nothing less than a Donald Trump victory.
Right, they are already saying they will only accept don being reelected and rs giving that their full support. Not they will support the actual vote, that they will only support their baby winning. It's not that the nation would have two presidents. This is the ideal situation. The republicans have to show their true colors and support orangey or not, which splits their ticket.More on Trumpers threatening to leave/bury the Republican party.

I am not so sure of that. Obviously, one can have a bit of schadenfreude at their predicament, but where does that leave the very few that are not full on fascist supporting? We are going through some monumental changes and it's hard to see where it may end. This is the ideal situation. The republicans have to show their true colors and support orangey or not, which splits their ticket.
I'm not sure the needs of "the Trump supporter swamp" are necessarily financial, though:If you really want to drain the Trump supporter swamp then you need to address their needs, make their life better again. That's the only way how to really deal with it, once and for all.
Trump lost support among low-income voters, but gained with the rich Voters from wealthy households swung further towards Mr Trump in 2020. Just over half of those whose family income was more than $100,000 a year supported the president, compared with 45 per cent in 2016. By contrast, those making family incomes of less than $50,000 voted Democratic by an 11.5-point margin (55 to 43), compared to an 8.2-point Democratic margin in 2016 (50 to 42).
This won't be a regular inauguration with lots of people in front of the Capitol Building. They are trying to figure out how to do it safely. But afterwards, Biden can say "You had more people at your inauguration than I did at mine because you killed 400,000 of them".Don't get me wrong; Trump is duplicitous as heck, and I can certainly imagine him, even after all this crap he's throwing right now, on Inauguration Day suddenly being all smiles and doing The Thing and acting like everything is normal ...
Oh there you go again, throwing facts into the gears of our perfectly well-thought-out naratives ...I'm not sure the needs of "the Trump supporter swamp" are necessarily financial, though:
According to the Financial Times,
I just read this article about the geographical areas that were the largest Trump supporters and it turns out, they're "meth counties".A big part of the Allied program for the leftovers of Hitler's Drittes Reich was the reeducation, trying to convince the people about that the Nazis were bad and alll.
Of course this was more of a propaganda effort instead of real working. For example my old history teacher told me that when he was in school back in the 40s, his school's director was a really hard core Nazi believer. After the Americans occupied the city, he got a light reeducation treatment only because he spoke English and acted as translator.
You've got in every party core believers and just followers, who are in because they don't believe everything but want to gain and stay in power.
Of course the core believers did not poof, they just went out of sight. Some made career in the newly formed state, like the founder of our intelligence agency or Wernher von Braun in the USA within NASA, others just covered their tracks a little bit more. There were already Neo Nazi parties in some paliaments of some federal states in the 60s, the NPD.
This is also the reason why then in 1968 there were our student riots, because this was the first generation born after WWII by the WWII generation, in many families the parents rarely or never spoke about their role in Drittes Reich and their children simply didn't believed that all of them did not contributed to it. It was a generational conflict.
One thing though was succesful: we now have a really, really big antipathy to war. We do view our army as necessity, but not something to be proud of. Many Germans would just be happy to have no army at all. We simply just hate war, which is really ironical when you do look how many weapons are manufactured and exported year by year out of Germany. If you really want to drain the Trump supporter swamp then you need to address their needs, make their life better again. That's the only way how to really deal with it, once and for all.
That always sounds good in theory, from a distance, especially from outside the U.S. But what you don't seem to grasp is that "their needs" that would "make their life better again" would be for black and brown people to shut up and take their abuse, women to bow to men's authority, especially over their bodies, and for gay people to die at birth. The overwhelming driver for Trump is White people's angst that they are not the dominant, controlling force in society anymore and that White Men have to compete for scarce resources against people they feel are inherently inferior to them, even if they don't quite despise them (which many do). They don't want the top 1% to be gutted because they still aspire to be one of those 1%; they don't want more money spread equally among all groups; they want more given to them and only them, because everyone else is undeserving in their eyes.If you really want to drain the Trump supporter swamp then you need to address their needs, make their life better again. I agree with this but I also see that many of these people, if they had parents who were not abusers, alcoholics or drug addicts and if they'd stayed in school probably would not have the view of society that they do now. I watched this in my own family. One of my brothers became his abusive, addicted Father and the other stayed in school (despite how difficult it was to do that given our economic status) and became the polar opposite. I do think that if we had been able to address my brothers addiction early on it would have changed his life but we were in no economic position to do so and also not in a geographical location that offered any help. So no, I'm not going to support your approach for "how to really deal with it, once and for all".
That's not the majority of Trump's base, although it's definitely part of it. Meth addicts alone couldn't have elected him president (especially given that many of them don't even vote, given their unstable history).I agree with this but I also see that many of these people, if they had parents who were not abusers, alcoholics or drug addicts and if they'd stayed in school probably would not have the view of society that they do now.
