He, or one of his underlings, puts it up there as a tweet for his even more insane and violent users, then takes it down. He's gotten away with most of his lies, so why wouldn't he?It's already being spun as "Well, he didn't hear the White Power part of the video."
I'm fairly sure Trump hires 8 year olds to spin his press.
And giving them ventilators. Not only did he do nothing, he was rewarding Russia by pushing their acceptance back in the G7.
The Civil War was a clear geographic division between slave-holding states and free states. Individuals who felt opposite their state alignment could and did join the other side by physically going there. Today we have a division between generally liberal metropolitan areas and generally conservative rural areas, but no area is 100% one or the other. So people are much more mixed together.Too imbalanced and decentralized in either case for it to resemble an actual 'civil war' imho.
Yeah, if anything, if we were to have say, a full blown civil war, it would look much more like hand-to-hand combat and guerilla warfare. I don't even know that it would be identified as a "war", but rather would be reported as skirmishes between opposing sides, much like how we see current reporting when right wing forces and left wing forces get into violent confrontations. We'd continue to see a whole lot of biased reporting depending upon the persuasion of the broadcaster. The Civil War was a clear geographic division between slave-holding states and free states. Puhlease. We do civil warring great. Hugely the best! Why else is our only civil war called THE Civil War? Huh? Huh?Like most things, Americans don't really know how to do a civil war properly either.
Yes, it's more likely to be what the Weimar Republic went through: the Freikorp, Schwarz-Rot-Gold (federalists), Eiserne (moderate left), KPD (communists), Spartacists, etc. I would probably be DDP in orientation but too old and unfit to join the Eiserne. Leaning a bit on Wikipedia so I could be off some.Yeah, if anything, if we were to have say, a full blown civil war, it would look much more like hand-to-hand combat and guerilla warfare. Outside broadcasters, say outside of the country would probably do a much better job of identifying it as war.
Ah yes, it finds a way to blame the intel community and the nyt at the same time. And of course...
*Tim Intel, special private investigator to the President (apparently).
The Washington Post provides a helpful analysis of the whole affair, including Trump's responseAnd of course...

Leaning on Twitter is better? ETA: You can do a lot worse than Wikipedia.Leaning a bit on Wikipedia so I could be off some.
It's my understanding that the Greatest Generation were cohorts of my mother and father and older. That puts the youngest of the group currently at about 98 or 99 diminishing the impact of this ad.
I imagine the Lincoln Project know their audience, though, and which of their buttons they want to press. It's my understanding that the Greatest Generation were cohorts of my mother and father and older. In the US COVID impacts baby boomers the most.
Not up to the level of other videos I've seen.I imagine the Lincoln Project know their audience, though, and which of their buttons they want to press.
