Yes, I am just taking it as read we are doing this for the long haul. If we get out by the end of the year we will be lucky.

Take that extroverts!
Because of the large number of Trump-fueled idiots in the US who refuse to take this thing seriously, it's going to take much longer for us. Much, much longer.

Or any pet, because the virus can stay in their fur and infect others or reinfect the owner of that's a thing.
Water the story about the tiger I did a lot of looking and asked my vet. There was all sorts of precautions advice, and it made me very nervous because I live alone with my dog and I was afrsid if I got it I wouldn't be able to care for him without him getting it. If I read the CDC website I get scared all over again, because they say if I get sick I shouldn't go near him and how would I do that? If people can have it without knowing, how wood I know if he'd be safe with anybody? So I'm going to continue to take my cues from my vet, who I've known for very long time, on this. And I hope to whatever powers there may be I dunt have to find out.
The vet said just don't sneezes or cough on the dog. I guess you have to be more careful with cats, because our the article says they're more susceptible.
My vet also said that so far, as of the last time we spoke, anyway, that they hadn't seen any cases in their office. Something is weird about that article, though. First it says the cats are in a New York City and then it says they're in different parts of the state? Umm, make up your minds, BuzzFeed guys? Probably in the city, I'd think.

The sequel will probably be better.

Bad news for import collectors-

JapanPost has announced that all EMS and AirMail shipments to the United States will be suspended beginning April 24, 2020 due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns. SAL shipments were previously suspended for the same reason.
I guess I should consider myself lucky, because this is the first real negative impact I have had in all of this, and relatively speaking, its kind of minor.

I already have a package waiting to ship in Japan Post somewhere. Sometimes they get stuck un US customs but tracking says this one hasn't even left Japan yet. My next isn't due up until the end of May at least.

Manufactured outrage. Women take their kids to the park, which has its playground equipment unavailable due to the virus (who would have thought that would be done with hard plastic surfaces), confront the officers, complain about taxes and constitutional rights, asks to be arrested, then tries to drum up support among everyone else in the park, as well as suddenly being so very concerned about her children. I bet you 10 to 1 that this woman has a really nice backyard with jungle equipment.

According to this article, it was entirely pre-planned by an organization called The Idaho Freedom Foundation which then held a protest of 1,000 people in front of City Hall.

Meridian woman arrested during protest after refusing to leave a closed playground

First five minutes or so:

just take her kids away, that's dangerous negligence there...

Unfortunately, yes. They are asking what week when really they should be asking what month next year. Only the vaccine will solve this. Even if cases drop most people will not return to normal until they know for a fact they will not catch it.

I would not put too much hope into it, sadly there have been some pretty disturbing observations that you can be reinfected - if you can get reinfected that leaves vaccines somehow less effective - I dare not say useless, they will still be somewhatt useful, but they for sure would not make you immune if not even a real prior infaction can make you immune.

It might be annual then, like the flu shot.
