Hey hey! So I am trying to put together a cute anime-style avatar in SL and could really use some help. I’m not sure where the best places are to shop for that kind of look—like full bento avatars, anime heads, skins, or anything else that fits that style. If you’ve got any favorite creators, stores, or even just tips on where to look, I’d love to hear them! Marketplace links, in-world shops, whatever helps.

On MP there is a store called Animesh that has quite a selection. I don't know if they have an in-world store or not.

Utilizator is the most well known in the anime world for the heads and body parts ( +10 years)... they also have the kemono body and allot of 3rd party support for their heads( type M4 and you'll find alot of mods) all across the marketplace and in allot of cases these days they have support for BOM so people can use Reborn and legacy bodies. there is a sim called AMH Annie May haven which features allot of vendors but you can find alot of smaller and variety of store one if you look deep enough.. there a few new anime heads popping up with bom around but they pale in comparison as util has been around for years. compared to the furry and human worlds you'll find allot of customization and files to be able to edit your own stuff. Watch out for shady Stores..some may have ripped or dubious content.

if you want something leaning towards popular anime like dragonball, pokemon or naruto there s a few dedicated stores/sims for that as well. ( i don't know how many are still around would need to look for them)

AMH2.0 -anime mall and hangout

Uti's Blog

Hatsune Miku Sim -Recent sim i visited has some anime store

You’ll want to start with shops like UTILIZATOR (classic but still solid), and check out Kokoro Poses and Ayashi for anime-adjacent styles—especially if you’re leaning into the cutesy or magical girl side of things. That said, a lot of the newer anime looks are coming from indie creators on Marketplace who kitbash heads, hairs, and AOs for that really polished vibe. One thing to watch out for is compatibility—some of the cute heads won’t play nice with certain bodies or clothes, so try the demos and maybe poke around inworld groups too. Are you going for a more realistic anime look or full chibi/VRoid style? That might change the whole direction.

I think Utilizator is the goto. I have one on one of my avatars.

There is a head and a body but I think so me just use the head because the body is limited. I am not sure though.

If you're chasing that cute anime look, you need to check out UTILIZATOR (especially the M3 Venus head) and Rekt Royalty both are staples for anime style avatars. Also peek at PsyQueen and QuinLuna for some really solid skins and mods.

On Marketplace, try searching “bento anime head” or “anime AO” there’s gold in there if you dig a little. And don’t sleep on in-world shops like {PSYCHOByts} or Cureless if you want that detailed, stylized flair. Trust me, your kawaii final form is just a few lindens away.

I totally get the struggle. I went through the same thing trying to build a cute anime avatar from scratch.

For heads, you might wanna check out Utilizator’s Normie or Rikugou. They are classic picks for anime styles. also seen people use HimeDream or Kokoro heads lately, and they’re super expressive.

For full bento bodies, Kemono is a solid start if you want that soft, stylized shape. it pairs really well with anime heads too. just make sure the skins you grab are BOM-compatible or have appliers that match your head/face tones.

Marketplace has a ton of options, but I would also swing by in-world stores like Psychotica, Pink Fuel (for cute skins), or Ayashi (for hair!). and if you can, check out events like Crystal Heart, Okinawa, or Equal10—they often have anime-style items all in one spot.

Always demo stuff. anime proportions can be tricky to balance, especially when you're mixing brands.

Just sharing what worked for me—everyone’s setup might be a little different . Hope that helps a bit!

I got the Gorou for fun, though I would call it a fox not a cat, the whole avatar is a single prim.
