2006?
My son is making special sausage rolls, sausage meat with herbs, onion and apple, wrapped in buttery puff pastry warm from the oven...there's nothing better on a cold winter's night. They're in a different league from those scabby things they sell in shops. I can't wait!

Needed cream-filled paczkis yesterday and resisted the urge to pick up a dozen on the way to work. But at 5-ish I couldn't resist and went out and got a half dozen. To my surprise my coworkers did eat two of them even at that hour, leaving me to eat only four after hours :D

And today I still want some.

And I had a nonnevot as dessert.
That is a regional carnival treat.

And now, I have to make sure to get my blood sugar values somewhere near normal again.

maybe if you tell your readers what "nonnevot" means, they might better understand why you like it:LOL:

EVERYTHING! Greasy fried stuff with cheese is number 1 on my cravings list. I also want donuts... in particular... If I indulged my natural appetite, I'd be 400 lbs. I have to hold down my natural tendencies a lot... to make matters worse, I'm trying to tone up a bit, so I have to be careful to make myself eat healthy things before I give in to temptation and order a pizza...

Coco puffs OR a good burritto OR something reallllly spicy.

I have filled my pizza quota so I'm good on that for a little bit.

I’m just stoked I got to legit make a joke of that. Tho I was aiming for the other thread with the mouth fire quote. Oh well, close enough.

Nun's buttocks, lol. Is it just a doughnut in a knotted shape, or something different? I've read a few articles, but they don't seem to comment on the taste.
It is in the doughnut range taste whise, softer in bite, more air in the dough.
But it is not a knotted doughnut, because we only know the doughnuts over here since maybe the last 30-40 years, while the nonnevotten have been here for much, much longer.

We have pet de nonne, and pet de sœur - nun's fart and sister (nun) fart. The nun one is smiler to Sid's.
My Mom used to make pies and then with the left over pie dough she'd make pet de soeur. She'd roll out the dough and then put butter, cinnamon and sugar on the dough and then fold it up, kind of like a flat burrito and then bake it. Honestly, I liked the pet de soeur better than the pie!

You're the first person besides my family, that has ever called it by the same name she did. :D

It's confusing because of the similar names. I mistakenly called the basic ones pets-de-sœurs for years. Anyway, the French sure are enthralled by farts, heh? ☺

Cappuccino Crunch ice cream from Shain's of Maine. Easily the best ice cream I have ever, ever had.
