They should have baited these people knowing this would happen. List the Jourors with fake names, have those fake names lead to addresses with a small army of FBI agents at each location.

Let these idiots show up and get arrested.
Being arrested is .... far too kind for these fucks.

A Texas woman has been charged with threatening the federal judge overseeing the criminal case in Washington that accuses former President Donald Trump of conspiring to overturn the 2020 election results.

Abigail Jo Shry allegedly called the chambers of Judge Tanya Chutkan on the US District Court of the District of Columbia and left a message Aug. 5 threatening to kill anyone who goes after the former president, according to court documents filed Aug. 11 in a federal district court in Houston.
“You are in our sights, we want to kill you,” Shry allegedly said in the message.

The voicemail also included a direct threat to kill Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), all Democrats in Washington, and all people in the LGBTQ community, according to an affidavit from a special agent with the Department of Homeland Security that was filed with the criminal complaint.

“If Trump doesn’t get elected in 2024, we are coming to kill you, so tread lightly,” she said, finishing the threat with an expletive.

I kind of expected this to happen sooner.

James O’Keefe, the founder and until this past February CEO of the right-wing nonprofit Project Veritas, is currently under investigation by the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office.

While the exact nature of the investigation is not yet public, the timing would suggest that it relates to O’Keefe’s alleged financial improprieties during his tenure as the group’s chairman and CEO. Back in February, O’Keefe was accused of spending “an excessive amount of donor funds in the last three years on personal luxuries” by the conservative nonprofit’s own board of directors, amid their very public feud over the management and future of Veritas. Westchester DA Miriam Rocah’s probe follows a raft of civil lawsuits, criminal investigations, and six-figure court losses that have trailed the group under O’Keefe’s leadership—including a still-active federal investigation into the theft of property belonging to President Biden’s daughter Ashley Biden.

Jesse Watters' Fawning Over Trump Mug Shot Street Art Goes Seriously Sideways
An Atlanta street artist has called out Fox News’ Jesse Watters and other conservatives who falsely interpreted his mural mocking Donald Trump’s mug shot as a tribute to the former president.

Watters on Monday fawned over footage of Chris Veal’s depiction of Trump’s booking photo, which was released following his arrest last week in Georgia for charges related to his effort to overturn the state’s 2020 election results.
However, Veal’s work was still in progress when the video was filmed.

He later added a speech bubble next to Trump that said: “M.A.G.A. MY ASS GOT ARRESTED.”

U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert was escorted out of a Sunday night performance of the “Beetlejuice” musical in downtown Denver, accused by venue officials of vaping, singing, recording and “causing a disturbance” during the performance.

In an incident report shared with The Denver Post on Tuesday afternoon, officials with Denver Arts & Venues wrote that two patrons were asked to leave the city-owned Buell Theatre during the performance of the touring Broadway show. They previously were issued a warning during the intermission regarding behavior that prompted three complaints from other theatergoers, the report says.

The report does not name Boebert as one of the patrons or identify the other person. But her campaign office — while disputing the behavior alleged — confirmed that she was escorted from the Buell on Sunday night during the “Beetlejuice” show.
Vaping?!

Still up to no good.

Wisconsin Senate votes to remove state’s top elections official, setting off legal dispute
The Republican-controlled Wisconsin Senate voted Thursday to fire the state’s top elections administrator, Meagan Wolfe – a move that immediately triggered a legal battle over who will oversee voting in one of the nation’s most important presidential swing states as the 2024 election approaches.

The 22-11 vote to remove Wolfe follows years of criticism by supporters of Donald Trump, who have blamed Wisconsin’s voting policies during the coronavirus pandemic for the former president’s 21,000-vote loss in 2020.

Wolfe is likely to stay on as the administrator of the bipartisan Wisconsin Elections Commission despite Thursday’s vote, after Wolfe and many Democrats, including Attorney General Josh Kaul, said the actions of the Senate – where an April special election victory gave Republicans a supermajority – were not legitimate.

Fat lady hasn't sung yet.

More dangerous to Paxton is a federal investigation that began when the attorney general’s senior aides reported him to the FBI in 2020, alleging crimes that mirror the impeachment charges. That case has reached a grand jury in San Antonio. A new criminal indictment carries far higher stakes than impeachment. Campaigning to stay in office is one thing; fighting to remain out of prison is another entirely.

This pretty much explains things.

How GOP pressured Texas
Following a secret campaign coordinated by top Trump allies, Texas state senators yesterday acquitted Attorney General Ken Paxton of all impeachment charges, allowing him to return to his post.

Gov. Ron DeSantis may have kicked Tucker Carlson’s dog, Rupert Murdoch may have called his longest-running primetime star an ableist slur, and Lachlan Murdoch has a fondness for anti-Trump toiletries—these are some of the many outrageous pieces of gossip revealed in provocative author Michael Wolff’s upcoming new book about the Fox News universe.

The Fall: The End of Fox News and the Murdoch Dynasty, due out Sept. 26 via Henry Holt & Co., purports to give readers a behind-the-curtains look into Fox’s handling of the Dominion defamation lawsuit over its 2020 election lies, its post-election clashes with former President Donald Trump, its shocking firing of Carlson, and the Murdoch family’s Succession-like turmoil.
In Wolff’s telling, both Fox News and the Murdoch empire are in a slow-motion decline.
May have to get this book and enjoy some schadenfreude pie with it. Even if it has to be enjoyed in slow motion.

Kari Lake still isn't giving up. But her excuses are becoming more loony (not that they weren't off the deep end already).

More than 10 months after she lost the 2022 race for Arizona governor, Republican Kari Lake is still fighting the results of the election, telling an appeals court that Maricopa County “engineered the Election Day chaos.”

Lake and her attorneys have yet to stop their quest to overturn the results of the election that she lost by more than 17,000 votes to Democrat Katie Hobbs. She challenged the results in a December 2022 trial that she lost, and then took her case to an Arizona appeals court and then the Arizona Supreme Court, which agreed with the trial judge on all but one count.

Lake lost another trial on that count in May. On Sept. 15, she appealed those results.
However, Lake’s latest appeal, filed by Scottsdale divorce lawyer Bryan Blehm and Washington, D.C., employment attorney Kurt Olsen, goes well beyond the scope of a typical appeal, citing claims that were not part of the May trial — claims that have already been rejected by the trial, appeals and state supreme courts.

In the most recent appeal, Lake and her lawyers doubled down on their claims of election fraud. Instead of making assertions that Maricopa County ran the election incompetently, or that some unnamed bad actors within the system injected illegal ballots, Lake took the claims a step further, accusing the county as a whole of engineering and planning what her lawyers described as “chaos” on Election Day 2022.
Maricopa County’s election department is chaired by a Republican. Republicans have the majority of seats. They even say they voted for Trump. But no claim is apparently too loony for Lake.

In case you haven't heard about this yet.

In August, conservative think tank The Heritage Foundation, in collaboration with a slew of other right-leaning groups, published its 'Project 2025'. This effectively amounted to a program of government for a future Republican president, should the party win the 2024 election.

Proposals include reintroducing legislation making it easier to fire federal workers; prosecution for distributing abortion pills by mail; and abolishing recently established diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives at the Department of Defense.
Conservatives are busy preparing for a Republican president to take power in January 2025. Polling shows the firm frontrunner for the GOP nomination is former incumbent Donald Trump. Some right-wing campaigners believe the radicalism of Trump's policy agenda during his first term was severely undermined by bureaucrats, whom they term as the "deep state." The campaigners are preparing a more-radical strategy, should Trump return to the White House.

EDIT: Moar on the topic (if you subscribe to The Atlantic).
