It's really hard to qualify and most people have to apply multiple times. Sometimes a doctor will help you by saying "If you can walk more than X feet during this test you won't be eligible for disability" if he thinks you really deserve to be on it, but it probably isn't the rule.

It also helps to go to the ER and then they will help you with a lawyer to get on it, or at least, that's what they do in Georgia, and I'd be surprised if it doesn't work similarly elsewhere.

The judge dismissed Palin 's libel suit, though he's letting the jury finish deliberations to cover his ass in case it's overturned on appeal. There is no evidence that there was any malice in the NYT's mistake,which is part of the requirement to prove libel (in sure Innula could put this better, lol).
If Hillary chooses to sue Fox, however, I'd say she has a slam dunk case.

It's quoted as a survival rate, but that's not proper if it includes people who haven't caught the disease. Less than 1/4 of the US population has tested positive, and many of those had no symptoms.

I had to explain it diplomatically to the guy who made my guitar, why I mask,etc. I saw my aunt die of pneumonia. That was awful enough, and COVID pneumonia is worse. So I don't care how small the odds of that happening, I don't choose to take that chance.
That was before the more contagious strains. Now I would also add the part about not wanting to pass it to my neighbors, especially kids and the most vulnerable.

I think the most helpful measure is the excess death rate -- that is, how many people normally died over a given period pre-Covid, and how many are actually dying over that period now.
