Feels like we're approaching the FO part of FA&FO really quickly.
David Harbour's Violent Night is a far better movie imo.I was going to say, I kind of liked that recent movie where Mel Gibson was the angry Santa Clause, but it was 5 years ago.
On a more serious note, Maverick is one of my guilty pleasure movies.
I try to avoid r/Popular on reddit, I end up doom-scrolling for hours if I open it. But I was curious, so I dove in.Elon Musk, Nazi lover. He did this today at the MAGA crowd.
Interesting, I hadn't considered that possiblity. Kinda short-sighted because upstaging fuckhead's big day would be an unforgivable sin, at least in the eyes of President Fulldiaper. You'd think Xitterfuck would know that -maybe he has kompromat on Dolt 45 we don't know about so he feels like he can get away with it?Or, more likely, this was *deliberate* so that Elon would dominate the news cycle and overshadow the content of the Felon's mad dash flurry of executive orders.
The other theory was that he was still high on Ketamine or something. (there's videos of him rolling his eyes like a cat having a catnip overdose)Interesting, I hadn't considered that possiblity. At least that goes some ways to explaining why Busk thought that would be a good idea.
Birthright citizenship is in the constitution. He can't change that with an executive order. ....not that, that will stop him from trying.
Yeah it is.David Harbour's Violent Night is a far better movie imo.
They are the least binding of government directives... the president doesn't make laws after all. But without judicial/congressional pushback they can be binding until the next president undoes them, which is bad enough.![]()
Looking critically at Trump’s flurry of Executive Orders: why we should watch what is done, and not to be distracted by what is said
21st January 2025 Around Westminster, the most useful guides to the nature of modern politics may not be the journalists and commentators, still less the ‘think tanks’ with their portentous names a…davidallengreen.com
Some crypto boosters have celebrated the Trump family’s foray into memecoins, applauding the new president’s ability to transmute his fame into crypto wealth. But others have pointed to the thorny ethical issues at play; for Trump to enrich himself, someone else must pay.
“Memecoins is absolutely a PvP [Player vs Player] game,” said Azeem Khan, cofounder of the Morph blockchain and venture partner at crypto VC firm Foresight Ventures, in an interview with WIRED late last year. “For someone to win, someone has to lose.”
In this case, Trump’s own supporters stand to potentially bear the cost. “It’s blatantly unethical,” alleges Christopher Bendiksen, a researcher at crypto asset management firm CoinShares. “Knowing that a bunch of [supporters] will lose money—and that money ends up in your pocket. Especially when you are holding the presidency of the United States.”
Another of Trump'spromisesthreats: We will forge a society that is color blind and merit based!
Color blind. Yep. Won't see any 'color' in that program at all.Another of Trump'spromisesthreats: We will forge a society that is color blind and merit based!
It shows he has Oompa Loompa DNA (from the 1971 classic, not Burton's 2005 nightmare).Jimmy Kimmel joked that Trump has so much fake tan on his face now that he can be considered a people of color president.
