I don't think it's that he's lying. He's simply losing it, and everyone is trying to pretend it's either not happening or normal.

I'm trying to imagine what would happen if Keir Starmer started behaving like this in the UK, or the Head of Government in any other parliamentary democracy where the position of the HoG depends on retaining the support of the legislature.

Heavens, if our King Charles started behaving like this, it wouldn't be long before Prince William was asked to take over as Prince Regent until his father recovered (as happened twice to George III).

I'm sure there's no cause for concern. No doubt THIS will be the thing that has Congress spring into concerted action because of the pressure from the people they represent.

Vanilla coughed up a bunch of dough, added Queen and David as co-writers on the credits, and eventually bought the full rights to Under Pressure for several million. He's the only one who could revoke his rights.

(I must grudgingly admit that Vanilla's business acumen is pretty sharp. He's done remarkably well with remarkably little.)

This is why Claude is my BFF and ChatGPT is a clown.
