I'll just go down to the hardware store to rent a pneumatic polyurethane foam sprayer. And a drill.

Might it be less expensive - and faster - to put down several layers of fluffy towels and pillows and whatnot, and chance a few breaking on opening of the cabinet? I know, I'm a failure at thinking like an engineer...

It looks like a sliding door. I'm thinking one can open it enough to insert an arm and push the bowls back onto the shelf. Might be easier to do with one person operating the door and the other managing damage control.
