When I see all of this happening in plain sight and people still fucking defend it, I feel like I am losing my fucking mind.

That's how I feel whenever I try to explain anything about politics to some of my older relatives... Many of the same people really think Trump and Bibi are great leaders as if all their evil wasn't in plain sight.

I do feel Israeli nationalism is a bit different from MAGA in a few ways. Most MAGA defenders are dumb as rocks, where as a lot of Israeli defenders seem a lot less stupid, but are just totally in love with an idealized version of Israel that is just not real.

Many, myself included, make the distinction that it is the Israeli government that is the monster. When I see more and more horrific behavior by the Israeli “settlers” and others, it is harder and harder not to think there is a terrible rot that is pervasive in their society.

The UK govt. Foreign Office unit tracking Israel’s potential breaches of international law has closed due to cuts.

Katie Fallon, the advocacy manager at Campaign Against Arms Trade, said closing the IHL cell would protect ministers and senior Foreign Office officials “who know that they have been manipulating the data on potential violations of IHL, beyond any logical interpretation, to obscure unimaginable violations and crimes committed against the most vulnerable people in conflict and sustain arms sales at any cost”.
