I have a suspicion that at some time in the future, unfounded conspiracy ideation will be determined to be a psychological disorder. But I do agree with the severity of the decision.

This possibility both makes me hopeful of a more sane political environment, but also scares the hell out of me. There is a long history of governments such as the old Soviet Union abusing this kind of thing to just say dissenters are mentally ill. I can imagine a future where democracies are earnestly trying to diagnose and treat wackos responsibly but some authoritarian regimes will master the art of using this to repress dissent while claiming that's what the democracies are doing!

EDIT: Though I share in much of the schadenfreude of this moment, I do hope Ms Peters can get the right kind of magnetic mattress she needs while in prison. Not being able to sleep well while being incarcerated would surely suck.
